This week we will be taking a look at a famous letter penned by one of the most analyzed figures of the 20th Century - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Many of you have undoubtedly read this letter in a previous class. While previous knowledge of a topic is always a great thing, we are going to look at this letter from an AP perspective.

After reading the letter from Dr. King, you will be writing a one page reflection where you discuss the central themes and purpose of the letter. Additionally, you will need to discuss the following "essential question":
Essential Question: What is the relationship of the individual to the community? Can you find a clear parallel between between Thoreau and MLK?
